Maik Glemser

Maik Glemser, born in Stuttgart in 1961, is a painter, sculptor, and musician residing in Berglen.

He was Introduced to the classical avant-garde by Stuttgart musician Friedemann Keck. He has his own experimental bands, such as "Maik Glemser's Introverted Street Sweeper" and "Rulaman." Productions such as "Koitus im Kosmos" (1984) and "Der negativ Zustand" (1986), studio musician for numerous productions and publications, such as the exhibition and publication of the Württembergischer Kunstverein Stuttgart "Wie der Punk nach Stuttgart kam" (2017, with D. Fonfara)

Formerly a painting teacher at Franz Sequenz (Stuttgart). Has done exhibitions at home and abroad, including an extensive retrospective in the foyer of the Stuttgart State Theater (1996). Has worked as a set design assistant to Axel Manthey, and as set designer, freelance stage sculptor, and head of sculpture at the Stuttgart State Theater from 1994 to 2021.
