Bio
Japanese composer, born in 1948. Self-taught in composition, he worked primarily as an arranger and conductor for pop and commercial music during the 1970s and 1980s while simultaneously releasing his own original work.
He has consistently focused on minimalist music since debuting his work at the 1972 "Music Space" exhibition, making him one of the few dedicated minimalist composers in Japan. His compositions have notably been performed by the Kronos Quartet.
