Bio

Matt Goodluck is an Australian vocalist, electronic musician and voiceover artist based in Adelaide. He is the longtime frontman of Echoes of Pink Floyd, one of Australia's premier Pink Floyd tribute acts, touring nationally since 2014.

Matt's music career began behind the scenes in Europe. From 1995 to 1998, he worked in the UK as a label assistant at Verglas Music, before relocating to Germany to take on roles as export manager and assistant label manager at Inside Out Music. After returning to Australia in late 2001, he became active in Adelaide’s live music scene and maintained ties with European labels including Inside Out Music, Revisited Records (2), and Tempus Fugit, providing English translations for liner notes on various reissues.

During the 2020 lockdowns, Matt began exploring modular synthesis after acquiring a Moog Mother-32. This sparked a new creative chapter that led to the development of immersive, ambient electronic compositions. His early work, released under the alias Mattias Vielglück—a nod to the influence of Berlin School pioneers (and a German translation of Matt Goodluck) —culminated in the EP Explorations in Sound.

In 2023, he released his debut album Inner Cosmos, which was picked up by US label Otherside (co-founded by Chuck Oken Jr. of Djam Karet), remastered by ambient icon Robert Rich, and reissued on CD in 2024 with new artwork.

Matt’s follow-up, Portals, builds on this foundation with a more rhythmic and structured approach, incorporating contributions from local collaborators. Drawing on influences such as Tangerine Dream, Brian Eno, Vangelis and John Carpenter, his music continues to evolve—blurring the line between ambient atmospheres and cinematic sound design.
