Kapali Carsi

Experimental solo project by Kevin Hainey active 2005-2020.

First phase of activity recorded during 2005-2006 and issued from 2005-2013 over 11 releases. These anomalous sound events are often minimalist and primitive, involving deconstructed approaches to interior recording, encounters with non-musical objects, strange experiments with unfamiliar instruments, and other adventurous oddities.

The second phase began in late 2012 with the recordings of "Evil Veil," when the project focused on the modified bass guitar set-up Hainey had played in the band Disguises from 2005-2011. Kapali Carsi performed live during this phase, from 2016-2019.

"Feverish Tears of Our Ancients" (2012) and the "Fuck Roast" EP (2009) are standalone releases, unrelated to either phase.

The project was laid to rest in early 2020 with some final releases and compilation contributions.
