Bio
Reserva Espiritual de Occidente is a Spanish experimental music project that emerged in the 2000s, associated with industrial, post-punk, noise, and ritual ambient sounds. The project was founded and led by Svali, around whom different collaborators and line-ups were formed over time (Santi Plagio, Mario Zamora, Wences Lamas, Rubén Rodrigo, Fernando Rujas). The group employs repetitive, declamatory, and atmospheric structures, exploring themes related to the decline of the West, spiritual symbolism, tradition, and cultural crisis, often through an austere and confrontational aesthetic. Rather than a doctrinal concept, the notion of “spiritual reserve” is used as a symbolic and artistic reference, articulating music, word, and esoteric imagery in a critical and performative manner.
