_Din

_Din (real name Tom Baker) is a London-based electronic producer and curator, previously recording as Sylvia_Din. His work combines post-industrial techno, noise, punk, deconstructed club and experimental hip-hop, built from a mix of in-the-box synthesis, field recordings and found sound drawn from his surroundings in east London.

He released his debut EP, A Vivid Study of Human Violence, in 2019, followed by a run of singles and remixes, including Masks, No Saviours, Buyer's Remorse / McLean VA, and reworks of tracks by Julien Baker and Charli XCX. His second EP, Inertia, followed in 2023 and paired his production with spoken word from Joshua Jones and poet Aaron Kent, mastered by longtime collaborator Ollie Turbitt.

Alongside his music, Baker curates Our Restless Bones, a zine featuring transdisciplinary work from artists, musicians and writers.

His latest EP, Beautiful Bodies, Born To Be Burned, is released via Restless Hands Records. Featuring guest musicians Peter Mills and Max Grainger, with mastering again handled by Ollie Turbitt, the EP takes influence from artists including dalek, Prison Religion, clipping, Teya Logos, Drumcorps, Blightcaster, Yellow Swans and Vanity Productions. It addresses collective inaction in the face of global violence, moving from rigid industrial rhythm towards more open, human sound as it progresses.
