Maćko Korba

Macko Korba - is a project based primarily on the wording of hurdy-gurdy and the broad view on that instrument. In other words, experimental music on lyre-gurdy. Macko Korba is quite dynamic in its aesthetics (new guests musicians and not only) but certainly one can find echoes of the lyre-beggars tradition and the wording and approach truly Gypsy. Tracks from the past m.in French Baroque and Balkan and Polish (Mazovia, Kurpie) combine well with sometimes processed or prepared minimalist sound. Macko Korba project was appreciated at the Festival "New Tradition (Nowa Tradycja)" in 2007 as a Grand Prix and First Prize name Czeslaw Niemen.
