Bio

American electronic musician and photographer based in Chicago, Illinois. Born 1984.
Vallera has released albums under his own name and as COIN (Opal Tapes). He has collaborated with Lee Ranaldo, Loren Connors, Doug McCombs, Elliott Sharp, and Steve Hauschildt. He performs as Cleared (Immune Recordings) with percussionist Steven Hess and as Maar (Umor Rex, Entr’acte) with visual artist and musician Joseph Clayton Mills. He sings and plays guitar in the experimental rock group Luggage (Don Giovanni Records).
An MFA graduate of School of the Art Institute of Chicago, his work has been exhibited in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, and elsewhere.
