Bio
Ryan Sadorus is a Detroit-based DJ, producer, and co-founder of BerettaMusic whose career bridges underground authenticity with global reach. His journey began in the late ’90s while living in Japan, where he immersed himself in Tokyo’s thriving dance culture, absorbing sets from pioneers like Ken Ishii and Satoshi Tomiie. That early exposure to precision, depth, and soul laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to timeless dance music.
After relocating to Detroit in 2001 he formed BerettaMusic from an artist collective into one of the most respected labels in the Detroit and beyond. The label became known for spotlighting emerging Detroit voices while earning global support from tastemakers and selectors worldwide. Today, BerettaMusic continues to champion both seasoned veterans and rising artists, maintaining its reputation for quality, intention, and community impact.
Ryan’s production work reflects a deep respect for Detroit’s lineage while pushing confidently into the present. His collaborative “Hot in the D” EP with Delano Smith has received global praise and continues to be played in major clubs worldwide, reinforcing his place within Detroit’s living musical tradition. He has also released alongside artists such as Dez Andrés and appeared on Upstairs Asylum Records, curated by Norm Talley. His productions continue to resonate globally, earning support from icons including Laurent Garnier and Basement Jaxx.
As a DJ, Ryan has become a regular fixture and resident at Detroit’s most respected rooms, including TV Lounge and SPKRBOX, where he curates and hosts the monthly “BerettaMusic & Friends” monthly; revered for the nights true underground house roots, welcoming energy and authenticity. Known for his versatility and trust behind the decks, he is continually invited to open for and support both Detroit legends and internationally revered artists. A defining moment recently came when he delivered the peak New Year’s Eve 2025 set at TV Lounge to a packed room — taking the handoff from Delano Smith and carrying the energy deep into the night.
Whether touring internationally, expanding into Guadalajara, or holding down the dancefloor in Detroit, Ryan’s sets are rooted in storytelling — balancing driving Detroit energy with soulful depth and emotional lift. His mission remains clear: cultivate community, elevate artists, and radiate positive energy through music.
Standing at the intersection of legacy and evolution, Ryan honors Detroit’s foundation while building bridges to new audiences worldwide
