Mujahideen

Together and apart, the Mujahideen members enriched the Israeli indie music scene for years from their base in Jerusalem - Harel Schreiber as Mule Driver, Uri Krystal as Subsonic, and Alon Avnat, the most veteran among them, who boasts the legacy of cult bands such as Dewalt, Gaza, and The Electronic Front. The fruitful collaborations among the Jerusalem creators have over time given rise to dozens of bands (some permanent and some random) that filled the capital's clubs, most of which left behind official materials. In this case, Avnat continued to record in the 2000s with Zion Snipers and Shabab Al-Quds, Krystal teamed up with DJ Nemoi and members of Pika / Kain (this group almost changed their stage name every night), and Schreiber collaborated with every member of the Ak Duck label and as half of the duo The Models with Itamar Weiner (aka Spark O).

A certain critic once described the music of the Mujahideen as "like a fusion of old New York punk (such as the band Suicide) and sharp, updated beats." An official track by the band ("To Be a Man", yes, that one by Zohar Argov) was published in the first series of splits produced by the Jerusalem label-pub Uganda, alongside tracks by Amram the Psycho (the aforementioned group with the ever-changing stage name) and Tapat the Veterans.
