Bio

Born in Venice on December 4th, 1968, Fabio Casagrande Napolin (also known as F.C.N.) is one of the three founding members of La Casa Rosa Confetto, an Italian punk/noise/experimental band active from 1989 to 1993. He is also the owner of label 710333, established in 1989.

In 1992, F.C.N. launched his solo project, In Vitro Test, an experimental/industrial music project active from 1992 to 1995, and later from 2002 to 2008. In 2005, he became the bassist for the goth band The Sunset Boulevard (2), and from 2005 to 2006, he played with the shoegaze band Kitsune.

As a photographer, some of his photographic works have been used for covers by the Spanish label Grabaciones Goticas, as well as for the cover of the Italian band Ataraxia's album, [m=126720].

Fabio Casagrande Napolin has also written several books on music and cinema. From 1994 to 2010, he edited the Italian fanzine Abastor, and he has contributed to magazines such as Mondo Bizzarro Mag, Il Giaguaro and Classix!. In 2016, he authored the book Orgasmo Song. Sesso, musica e sospiri (published by artist 1207956's VoloLibero Edizioni), which explores the history of erotic music in the 1970s.

In 2014, he launched his own web radio show, Il Laboratorio del Professor Odd, broadcast on Radio Banda Larga under the pseudonym Professor Odd. In 2015, he revived his solo project In Vitro Test, collaborating with Erik Ursich and Sylvia Schlecker on the single [r=7385223]. In 2019, In Vitro Test released a Kosmische Musik concept EP titled [m=1601459], featuring collaborations with Erik Ursich, Alessandro Papa, Gloria Bazzocchi, and Sylvia Schlecker.

In 2020, he founded the group artist 7354202 as a trio alongside artist 3938900 and Sylvia Schlecker. La Maison De La Maîtresse originally began as an In Vitro Test side project in 2006, but at the time, they only recorded two tracks for the unreleased soundtrack of the short film Der Anhalter.

As of 2021, Fabio Casagrande Napolin has retired from his career as a musician.
