Bio

Psytrance, trance & ambient DJ producer from Mykolaiv, Ukraine
Runar Kristinsson is an electronic music producer best known for his work in progressive goa trance under the project Unusual Cosmic Process.
His musical journey began in 2000 as a DJ at the nightclub JOS in Mykolaiv, Ukraine, performing under the alias Armando Valencia. But it wasn’t long before he discovered that composing music gave him a deeper creative satisfaction than DJing alone. In 2006, he fully shifted his focus to music production and adopted the name R. Kristinsson for his creative work.
Born Armen Akopov, Runar was profoundly inspired by the iconic sound of Depeche Mode during his childhood—a passion that helped shape his path into electronic music.
In April 2008, he made his first label appearance with the track “Smooth Turbulence” on Sentimony Records, marking the beginning of his journey as a recognized producer.
