FOLJA is a sonic and visual alter ego of polish artist Konrad Zduniak.
Initially FOLJA emerged as an concept audio art project consisting of instrumental music based on sounds downloaded from the internet databases and video works.
The title of the debut four-track mini album „Pyramids and Stars and Our Bodies Together” as well as the cover image were chosen randomly, following the popular, facetious online manual.
Its physical copies where delivered to the random individuals around the world using the giftastranger.com website or hidden in the unknown locations.
Videos documented placing the album copies in public for strangers to find.
In 2011 FOLJA’s first full-lenght instrumental album „Pompa Funebris” was released by an independent label Sangoplasmo Records on the cassette tapes.
The album was followed by one more instrumental release, a Midnight Symphony single in 2013.
Two years later, in early 2015, with the self-released single “Water Can Break the Rocks”, FOLJA presented a new sonic direction, developing a singer-songwriter electronic pop.
