Bio

Gerry Vergult aka Fred Angst is one of those idiosyncratic figures in Belgian rock music. He first appeared in public with a band called The End, and some time later he founded the legendary Aroma Di Amore (with Elvis Peeters), a band that existed from 1982 till 2022. They released several albums, mini-albums and singles, and toured all over Europe with lots of critical acclaim. Besides this he played in a lot of other bands, composed music for film and theatre and produced records for other artists. Nowadays, his main artistic outlet is Zool. (who released 6 albums so far). Gerry plays guitar, bassguitar, keyboards and is an experienced laptop recording and producing engineer. He lives in Antwerp.
