Bio
Swedish composer, singer, guitarist, drummer, and teacher, born on November 17, 1962, in Gothenburg and raised outside Kungsbacka.
She has performed with notable acts such as Fläskkvartetten and artist 255066. In the late 1980s, she stepped away from public music-making to work as a teacher of Swedish and music. Nevertheless, she returned with the album "Reconnect" in 1996 and "Song Of My Own" on August 7, 2008, performing live around the country. She is widely regarded as one of Sweden’s most powerful female jazz voices. In 2018 she launched Annikairene musik AB to resume her music production.
On May 9, 2020, under the artist name Annika Irene, she gave the world premiere of her latest album "Chaos Is My Regularity" in a live-streamed concert at the Spinroad Vinyl Factory in Lindome.
In the 1980s, she also released a critically noted record featuring musical settings of Dorothy Parker poems. Blennerhed is the mother of Swedish artist artist 5281986.
