Puha Szabolcs

Szabolcs Puha (better known as Puha Szabi) has been active in the Hungarian music scene since 2004, and has since worked as a sound engineer on more than 140 albums, primarily in the pop, alternative rock, world music and house genres. His recording, mixing and mastering work has made him one of the most versatile and sought-after professionals in the Hungarian music scene.

During his career, he can boast five gold records and has produced more than ten albums that have won Fonogram awards. His references include many influential artists and bands, including: Colorstar, The Carbonfools, János Bródy, Hooligans, Gangsta Zolee and Kartel, Hobo, Kowalsky and Vega, The Qualitons.

Szabolcs is unique in that he is at home in both instrumental, analog-sounding music and the technical challenges of the electronic music world – a rare and valuable combination in today's music industry.

In 2021, he made his expertise available in book form, creating the first Hungarian-language audio engineering textbook that conveys both practical and theoretical knowledge.
