Bio

German saxophonist and flautist in the Krautrock era, born March 24, 1943 in Wiesbaden.
Fischer was playing saxophone in a band called "The Dusty Birds" in the early 1960's and then joined "Tim and the Times" with frontman artist 265543 and artist 289598 in the mid 1960's. When American army soldier artist 289596 joined the band, he brought some of his friends and the three Germans and the three Americans founded the Blues and Soul band artist 819312 in 1967. When the band moved more to jazzy and psychedelic music styles, it renamed to Xhol Caravan in the same line-up as the predecessor and the band members started to live together in a commune. As the band started to move towards free improvisation and drug consume increased, while workload decreased, Fischer left the band in 1971.
After he left, he rehearsed with artist 312355, but finally, he continued his career wih Embryo (3) in Munich. In 1974, he returned as a guest for taking part in recording artist 297614's album Hau RUK mainly on one album track.
From 1988 to 1992, he owned the label Sonnenengel Musik for meditative music. In the 2000's, he was part of the revival of Xhol Caravan.
