Peter Behrens

German musician, born 4 September 1947 in Sanderbusch, Germany - died 11 May 2016 in Wilhelmshaven, Germany.
He was most famous for being the drummer of the German NDW-band Trio.
After his education as a teacher, he performed as drummer in the late 1960's. He joined the Krautrock band Silberbart in 1971. After recording one album, the band dissolved due to financial reasons. He then was drummer in a cover band in the 1970's and went to Milan, where he attended a clowns' class. In 1979, he joined Trio as drummer and went popular mixing his drum skills and his clown attitude. In 1986, the band broke up, but Behrens could not take profit from the band's fame, as he rarely acted as songwriter. In the late 1980's he made a solo career for a couple of years. He spent some years in alcohol and drug abuse. In 2013, he published his autobiography "Der Clown mit der Trommel". Father of Morlin Rose.
