Bio

German drummer, composer, producer, publisher and music executive, born August 11, 1952 in Schlierbach (Brachtal), Germany.
Curt Cress started as a drummer in 1965 and was part of many Progressive Rock and Krautrock bands in the early 1970's. He was a prolific studio drummer and was awarded 15 times as Germany's drummer of the year by German music journals. In the late 1970's he also became producer of many famous German artists and bands. He also acted as a songwriter for many German TV shows, as "Wetten Dass..?" and label 1197913.
In 2006, he became professor at the label 478269. He also runs his own music production business in Pullach near Munich.
