Pas De Deux

Avant-pop trio from Belgium who released one mini-album and a couple of singles between 1982 and 1983. Pas De Deux represented Belgium for the 1983 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, ending third from last. Already during the preselections the mainstream audience did not understand their unconventional song (a simple tune with just one line of text: "Rendez-vous / Maar de maat is vol / en mijn kop is toe"). Even so, Rendez-Vous became a summer hit in Belgium that year. More recently, their music has become hip again, as testified by the 2011 compilation on Minimal Wave or the "complete collection" releases in 2019 and 2022.
