Dmitriy Vlasov

Born in 1986 in Kudymkar, Perm Krai, in a family of theater aficionados. Used to work as a journalist in a local newspaper and would later study stage direction and prose before being dismissed for poor attendance. Eventually he graduated from VGIK in Film Dramaturgy, has been writing excellent plays and currently is writing scripts for several major Russian TV channels. At the same time has been secretly perfecting his music with numerous tapes under such monikers as Clathrus and Billiam Wutler Yea (Full of Nothing, Digitalis etc.) Another offshoot, Hasidim Against Shabbat, blew quite a few minds with slo-mo Russian pop remix manoeuvres. Traura is a new project of his that draws the line and encompasses all of Vlasov’s output so far.
