Itsu

ITSU is an experimental music artist, composer, and sound designer based in Tokyo.

Rooted in minimalism and microsound, ITSU’s artistic practice draws inspiration from scientific research and translates it into musical and audiovisual form. A strong emphasis is placed on complex rhythmic structures, often involving unconventional time signatures, and on detailed sound design built from fundamental sound sources such as sine waves and noise. His compositional approach is experimental, with every project structured around a precise and well-defined conceptual framework.

Working across audiovisual performances, live electronic and DJ sets, and sound installations, ITSU collaborates closely with media artists to create immersive experiences where sound and visuals operate as a unified system, with the visual component becoming an integral part of the performance.
