Nicolás Zúñiga

Self-taught audio post-producer, specialized in the restoration of vintage recordings and co-founder of the Dead Wax Records and Tres Calaveras Producciones record labels. Avid music and video collector, multifaceted, irreverent dj already since his high school days.

Started buying records in 1986 and had his first contact with a mixing desk in 1988. His favourite music styles originate from the 80s: post-punk, minimal & cold wave, goth rock, new wave, synthpop, EBM, indie pop.

Running Dead Wax Records an collaborating with other labels and musicians, focusing on digitalization, restoration and remastering of old recordings coming from ‘obsolete’ sources such as open reel tapes, cassettes, vinyl records, DATs, Umatic, Beta and VHS videotapes. Also known as Nico DeadWax.
