Mulo Muto

Mulo Muto (MM) is a post-industrial noise project created by two passionate music makers who originally met in Zurich (Switzerland) in 2012. Both come from the Italian-speaking part of the country but followed very different musical paths, eventually meeting only after leaving their home region.
Joel Gilardini is a guitarist and sound researcher. He actively performs with his main project, The Land Of The Snow (avant-garde metal), as well as with various solo and collaborative projects, such as Psychic Drones alongside Kazuyuki Kishino (KK NULL). He also plays weekly as an opener for Nik Bärtsch’s Ronin (ECM) at Exil, a well-known Zurich club.
Attila Folklor followed a different path, starting with punk and death metal bands, and currently plays with his long-running band Insomnia Isterica (grindcore), as well as MeVdA (noise), Fetophagia (goregrind) and Ruscādå (kosmische Musik), among other noisy endeavours. Attila has also run L’è Tütt Folklor Records since 2003.
Sacha Rovelli (Icydawn, Luce Sia label) often joins MM as a third member, especially for live gigs, bringing an additional layer of ideas and sounds that further enrich the soundscape.
In addition to many solo releases, MM has produced several splits and collaborations with artists such as Sshe Retina Stimulants, Wertham, Mademoiselle Bistouri, Satanismo Calibro 9, Maurizio Bianchi, Icydawn, Black Lava, Soma, meanwhile.in.texas & Skag Arcade, Violent Shogun, N., Hazarda Bruo Sonsistemo, and R-13.
MM has performed in squats, clubs, open-air venues, and art galleries alongside many fellow noise makers. A live MM performance is the ideal environment to experience sound decomposition and to witness noise being brought to life and to death once again.
