Lil' Dirrty Ghetto Bastard was affiliated with Schoolly D's North Philly collective. In the late 90's, Jay Haze heard him freestyling in the street and was impressed by his style. Lil' Dirrty refined his rap skills as he freestyled on the mic while Jay practiced DJing in his apartment. As Jay later founded his own record label Tuning Spork Records, he brought Lil' Dirrty on board as a guest vocalist.
