Igor Vaganov

Igor Vaganov is a Russian rock journalist, visual artist, filmmaker, radio presenter, organizer, and participant of a number of media and art projects in Russia and abroad. As a graphic artist created the design and artwork of a number of musical recordings. He participated in video poetry festivals in Russia, international art projects of Amnesty International and Greenpeace in New York and London in 2009-2010. In 2011, as a video artist, he also participated in productions of the Yermolova Moscow Drama Theater and the Rostov Academic Youth Theater. His experimental film/video works have been shown at major international events including MADATAC, Wrocław Industrial Festival, FIVA, Mediawave International Film and Music Gathering, Artkino, Kansk Video Festival, Moscow, Madrid, Toronto, Geneva, Luxembourg, Buenos Aires, and San Paolo artplaces.

He is also known as the ideologist and organizer of the countercultural festival of experimental and avant-garde cinema and videoart Chuzhie! (2005-2006), later called by a number of Russian mass media “the first and only festival of underground cinema in Russia." And as the founder of Achtung Baby!, which for many years ("10 years of madness behind the Iron Curtain") included the self-titled independent radio program, numerous local and foreign publications, an Internet extensive database of numerous underground and experimental artists from around the world, as well as his own music label.

At the present time releases the radio program Les Chants De Maldoror.
