Alex Ridley

From a very young age, Alex Ridley knew he wanted to write an artist bio. Inspired by the artist bios (and music) of artists such as Ambivalent, Chris Liebing, D.A.V.E. The Drummer, Julian Liberator, Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, Speedy J, Sven Väth and Venetian Snares, he set out to one day craft an epic artist bio that was just as engaging and innovative. (Huzzah!)

When not aspiring to write the perfect bio, Alex Ridley produces electronic music; a life consuming practice that he’s been immersed in since 2001. His work moves through techno, hard techno, hypnotic techno, minimal, ambient and other exploratory territory. He’s often driven by dark grooves, subtle textures, and the occasional strange sound… Or twelve.

Alex also hosts a weekly radio show on Winnipeg’s 101.5 FM, airing Fridays from 11 PM to 1 AM (Central Time). The show has featured a wide range of guests including Adam Jay, Alokin, Chris Komus, Cyncron, Dave Ruff, Del Fonda, Greg Eversoul, Marika Rossa, Michael Wells (G.T.O), Miss Innocent, phosphor, Sarah Sommers, Woody McBride, and many others.

Never one to stay in one place too long, Alex currently resides in Edmonton, Canada. He may be focused on techno but he is never limited by it.
