Savon Tranchand

Savon Tranchand, literally meaning « sharp soap », is an Art Rock duo from Paris.
With Savon Tranchand you meet absurd characters travelling in oneiric worlds where fears are explored and merge with a playful sense of reality.
A nightmare becoming real as images and sound flow along minimalist, raw-electro and punk-rock melodies upon which french and german lyrics give the impetus.
Contrasts are brought together to create a sharp harmony with a well-thought out mise en scene and a dadaist – style performance that merges drawings, photography and the culture of the happening. The marvelous foam is created by Sophie Savon aka Sophie le Roy and Benoît Tranchand aka Benoît Preteseille.
Benoît is a singer, Sophie, a multi-disciplinary musician and instrumentalist who performs at cabarets and balls; accordion, guitar and fans of oscillators.
Beyond music, both are visual artists within their own fields. Sophie is a photographer exploring invisible daydreams on the edge of vivacious discomfort.
Benoit Preteseille is a comic strip writer and founder of the publishing company ION recognised for its artistic hybridization.
The two sorcerers combine their fantasies in Savon Tranchand fusing their vision of worry and play, both musically and visually.
