Bio
Fatum (meaning “Fate”) is a Grammy nominated dance act, originally comprised of four American producers: Bill Hamel, Chad Newbold, Bruce Karlsson, and Daniel Paul Davis.
Idividually having a significant past in electronic dance music (Bruce notably from the duo Norin & Rad with Nick Sember, Daniel from Judah (16), Bill with his label Sunkissed Records and Chad), these four producers joined forces at the beginning of 2015 to create a musical group. Their goal is by their own words: “work together to produce the highest caliber of dance music”.
Within their first 12 months together, Fatum received a Grammy nomination for their remix of Jes (12)’ “Hold On” which. This pent up demand along with many recent releases and remixes on labels such as Ultra Records, Big Beat, Anjunabeats, Armind, Black Hole Recordings, Ride Recordings (3). Those, along with remixes for Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Paul Oakenfold, and Tangerine Dream and so on.
In 2018, Bill Hamel passed away, shortly after Chad Newbold left the group, but Bruce and David continued bringing Fatum as a duo afterwise.
In 2024, Bruce left the group and since then, Daniel uses the project's social media as a platform for influencer tasks and tips for upcomer artists.
