Soramimi

NYC-based electronic composer, producer, sound designer and co-owner of Dusk Notes record label. Launched in 2011, her project focuses on music as narrative imagery, with a celestial sound illustrated by cerebral textures and rhythms, and deep hallucinatory compositions. She brings a distinct fluency and gravity to the table of nuanced experimental techno and ambient.

Soramimi’s live PA features her original compositions using both hardware synths and effects and software. Forgoing the path of the DJ, she instead chooses to showcase her own creations with live electronics. Her performances intertwine throbbing immersive techno with heady rhythms, and create alluring layers of intricate and evolving sonic abstraction. Influenced heavily by cinematic sound design and evocative sound scoring, she summons a powerful, visceral reaction in the listener.
