Wolfgang Michels

German singer, songwriter, guitarist, composer, lyricist and producer, born July 15, 1951 in Delmenhorst, Germany, died 14 September 2017 in Hamburg, Germany.
Michels started as guitarist in 1966 in local beat bands as well as solo musician. He founded a solo project called "One Plus None" in 1967 and had a first contact to the BBC in 1968, where he could successfully place his music. After he met artist 1977902 in 1968 and artist 2122699 in 1969, his solo project became a trio. As the name of the band was no more matching its line-up, a name change of the band was necessary. Michels created a fictive character -during sleep as he pointed out- called "Percewood" with the suffix "on a gram" (being high on dope). The band name, used from 1969 was thus artist 674020. He met artist 291339 at the BBC, who supported this new band and which led to their success in UK. Michels was the head of the band until 1974, when they decided to split, after there wasn't a commercial success with the band.
After the split, Michels recorded a Folk album in 1975, went then to London and later to San Francisco, where he recorded two solo albums supported by former bandmate artist 2123528 in 1977 and in 1979. He returned to Hamburg, Germany in 1980, where he recorded a couple of solo albums in English and German language and also worked for labels and publishers.
