Bio

Dro Hz is a culmination of 25 years in music, projects, bands, Dj Sessions, shaped into sound. Since starting this project in 2017, he has released original music on his label Collision Recordings, curated events in Atlanta featuring Djrum (R&S Records, Ilian Tape), & Tor (Juno Award winner for Electronic Album of the Year in 2022), & opening for acts like Telefon Tel Aviv, Arms & Sleepers, Wax Tailor, and Shlohmo.

Dro Hz has focused on immersive, genre-fluid music, rooted in a background as a live drummer. His productions emphasize rhythm, space, and atmosphere. His DJ sets move between 85–130 BPM, blending downtempo, trip-hop, instrumental hip-hop, breaks, leftfield, electronica, and melodic bass music into cohesive journeys, rather than peak-hour formulas.

Earlier chapters & releases include co-founding the Techno collective Wiggle Factor in 2009, were under the project delic he opened for acts like Minilogue, DVS1, Maetrik (aka Maceo Plex) Pig&Dan, Sian, Truncate, Drumcell, Tim Xavier, Alexi Delano, Richard Devine, Mr C, Elon, Taimur, & Clint Stewart. This was usually alongside one of the top visual artists in the game in OKTAFORM (Timewarp) on visual art for warehouse events.

His releases span from a few different projects like; his Techno alias Koh^nim on 3-4-1 Cuts, as delic on Tic Tac Toe Records, via the group Panopticon on Dave Seaman's label Audio Therapy (with support from Sasha & Digweed early 2000's), track "Mercury" featured on D Fuse People 2 compilation, collaboration with Habersham on Influx Audio, releases as AOE on Lobotomy Records, as well as multiple self titled releases under Darius Kohanim on the progressive label Hunya Munya Records. With his new debut album complete now in 2026, Dro Hz enters his most focused & inspired phase yet.
