Massimo Carozzi

Massimo Carozzi is a sound artist, musician and sound designer.
He explores the intersections between sound and text, image, scene, space.
He has curated sound and music for documentaries, films, theatre and dance performances, collaborating with writers, directors, choreographers and visual artists.
He is the author of audio-documentaries, sound cartographies and podcasts, broadcast and published by Radio 3 Rai, Choramedia, Storie Libere.
In 2000, together with Anna Rispoli and Anna de Manincor, he founded ZimmerFrei, participating in exhibitions, film, music and theatre festivals, both in Italy and abroad.
He has been part of various music and sound projects such as El Muniria, Weight And Treble, Auriga, Phonorama and Auna.
He has collaborated with musicians such as Starfuckers/Sinistri, Massimo Volume, 3/4HadBeenEliminated, Andrea Belfi, Stefano Pilia, Valerio Tricoli, Dominique Vaccaro, Emidio Clementi, Margareth Kammerer, Nicoletta Magalotti.
He has released records with Random Numbers, Second Sleep, Yerevan Tapes, Xong, Kohlhaas
