Nik Allday

Nik was born in October 1956, in Lincolnshire, into a relatively large family. After a short time at the local Grammar School, his parents sent him to a boarding school. Nik went onto Sheffield and obtained a degree, and then a Master's degree. Whilst at University, his interest in music grew, and he was the drummer in Cabaret Voltaire.

Later, he married and his daughter was born. Sadly, he and his wife separated and all contact ended. His daughter continued to live with Nik. He returned to his parent's home when they were elderly, and looked after them until they died.

Nik excelled at computer technology / software, and he created his own software company.

Nik was highly intelligent, and whilst computers and music may have been his passion, so was his love of English. His style of English was amazing - and was extremely eloquent.

Sadly, Nik's life ended all too soon, when he was just 64 years old.

His funeral (March 2021) was attended by those who really loved and knew him well.
