Vhelade

Vhelade Bale Mura, known simply as Vhelade, is an Italian singer-songwriter and actress. Born in Milan to a Congolese father and a Sardinian mother (from Samugheo), she grew up between Milan, Cagliari, Ibiza, Riccione, and Rimini. Her mother is the Ibiza DJ and vocalist Tischy Mura. From a young age, she studied solfeggio, piano, and classical dance, and in 1995 she began a modeling career, but soon the call of music and singing returned. Thus, between 2000 and 2001, she rediscovered her soul and began her singing career in a traveling American gospel group. In 2004, she began her television career with Piero Chiambretti as a lead singer. In 2014, still alongside Chiambretti, she gained artistic independence, reinterpreting Sade's songs in the "Vhelade Electro Sade" project and testing herself with international music classics with "Vhelade Super Cover" in 2015. Concurrently, she formed her first blues band, collaborated with various musicians from the Italian and European underground music scene, and created some experimental projects ranging from soul funk, groove roots, and psychedelic funk to swing jazz. In 2015, she stepped into the role of actress, starring in two very different films, the independent African auteur film Devil comes to Koko, and the Maccio Capatonda comedy film Italiano Medio. In 2017, she released her debut album Afrosarda.
