Basti Schwarz

German producer, remixer, DJ and drummer based in Stuttgart. He is the younger brother of Ali Schwarz.
In the late 1980's, he learned drumming in Hamburg. On his return to Stuttgart, he started to work in the discotheque "On-U", which was founded by his brother in 1990 in Stuttgart. The club became an early House music club in Germany, Basti became DJ in that club.
In 1993, they opened a new location called "Red Dog". In 1995, he and his brother start to produce music as Tiefschwarz and he also takes part in the work of the label Tiefschwarz, which was founded by artist 346130 and his brother Ali. Being respected DJs and remixers from the late 1990's, they release their debut album in 2001 and both brothers move eventually to Berlin. In 2006, they found the label Souvenir, in 2013 a second label called Nau (3).
In 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemy, he opens with his brother an exhibition in Stuttgart and Berlin, where they are reconstructing the rooms of the 1990's dicotheques, they were running together.
