Breidablik

Breidablik was formed in Bergen, Norway in 2012 The current line-up includes Morten Birkeland Nielsen on synthesizers, guitars, Håkon Oftung (Jordsjø, Elds Mark, Tusmørke) on guitar, and Trond Gjellum (Panzerpappa, Suburban Savages, Electrond, and Mythopoeic Mind) on drums. Using mainly analog synthesizers as the creative tool, Breidablik builds large electronic soundscapes with sequences, drones, and ambient textures. Following in the footsteps of artists such as Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, and Michael Hoenig, but also adding distinctiveness and innovation, Breidablik should appeal to fans of progressive electronic music and especially to those who enjoy the music from the Berlin School of Electronic Music, soundtracks, and ambient.
