Bio

American record producer, composer and visual artist born on 1974-05-31 in Houston, Texas, but started out in Portland, Oregon (USA). He is a multi-instrumentalist who is known for using all-analog equipment. He has been recording and releasing records since the mid-1990s. Jewel owns and operates his own record label called Italians Do It Better. He is a member of multiple bands on the label, including artist 220695 (along with vocalist artist 793398), Chromatics (along with artist 845038, Adam Miller, and Nat Walker), Desire (with artist 1435311 and Nat Walker), and Symmetry (with Nat Walker). As a composer, Jewel is widely known for his contribution to the film Drive (2011), as well as scoring the A&E crime drama series Those Who Kill (2014) and actor Ryan Gosling's 2015 directorial debut, Lost River. Jewel has been sampled by artist 2353545, Jarvis Cocker, and artist 1093094.
