Bio
Tim Tack a.k.a. Tack-Fu is a hip-hop producer and record label CEO of Tack-Fu Productions, a company based in Iowa City, Iowa. He has released two compilation CDs to date. ("Yen & Slang" 98' / "Chained Reaction" 00") These separate projects have been reviewed in national publications such as URB, Insomniac, & Elemental.
Firmly established since 1998, many hip-hop acts have performed in Iowa City, and Tack-Fu has shared the stage with all of them: Pharcycde, Spearhead, Slug from Atmosphere, DJ Vadim, Kotton Mouth Kings, Prime from the Molemen & 2002 Scribble Jam MC battle champ Mac Lethal, just to name a few.
In 2001, Tack-Fu formed the "85 decibel Monks" a production team consisting of 4 producers with over 30 years of combined production experience. "We're concentrating more on textures and sequence changes to keep it constantly moving without losing sight of the groove," points out Tack
