Bio

Warsaw based producer, dj and live performer, 1/3 of the post-post-punk band House of Lucy, 1/3 of polish-belgian wavy psych-kraut trio Personal Sauveur. Together with Ivan Bayor and Fopa, TAMTEN runs Lucyna - label and half-year's eve festival.

Popping up on Polish imprint Transatlantyk’s second Trans Afryka EP, he then went on to chart with his first solo release ’Diamentowa Sutra’ on the label in October 2017. His productions are beautifully intricate and meticulously thought out. Working in the city’s premiere record shop, Side One, has furnished him with a unique insight into the workings of the scene. After appearing on Transatlantyk label, together with his partner Fopa released the critically acclaimed “Polski Dom” EP in 2019, successfully attempting to fuse Polish folk music with contemporary (post)house. Their album called “Wake Up!” (2020) was a strongly conceptual work, touching the notions of time and a blurred line between dreams and reality.

In 2023 he released his first full lenght album - dubby trip hop meets new beat affair called 'End of That World', which was a theatrical, post-pandemic piece about the global apocalypse. This year, his latest album, “Wschodnia Fala,” flew off store shelves as quickly as it was released on The Very Polish Cut-Outs. As a producer and performer, Tamten (along with Pejzaż and Freux) is also responsible for Julia Rover’s solo album, “Co z Tobą?”.
