Sohichiro Suzuki

Japanese musician, coonposer and producer, born May 11, 1959 in Shizuoka, Japan. He founded World Standard and debuted in 1983. Their "Discover America" trilogy from the album [m211979] earned praise from David Byrne and Van Dyke Parks. He also performs as Everything Play. A prolific writer, his 1995 book Mondo Music became a talking point as a catalyst for the lounge music boom. In 2013, he formed Soggy Cheerios with Masahiro Naoe. He is also active as a producer for artists including Hanaregumi, Yoshie Nakano, Asako Nanshu, and Morio Agata. His diverse work spans soundtrack and commercial music production, as well as structuring and music selection for radio programs.
