Bio

German guitarist, bassist and songwriter, born in 1955 in Hannover.
He and Christian Henjes grew up together and developed a big interest in music. In the mid 1970's, influenced by bands as Velvet Underground or The 13th Floor Elevators, they started to make music, first as "The Automats" and from 1975 as 39 Clocks. Their debut album was released in 1981, the second one one years later, but in 1983, the band split.
An outtake abum was released in 1985 and in 1987, the band returned for a short time with their third album.
In the following time, Gleue continued as solo artist under different names as artist 733065 and artist 523288 (and derivatives of that). With Jazz musician Gunter Hampel he also was member of the band project The Cocoon from 1989 to 1991.
Gleue gave up music in the late 1990's. Meanwhile, he became a specialist in comic history with emphasis on Hannover based bsv-Verlag.
