Bio
Anna Makay is a Budapest-based artist and vocalist working across experimental and abstract electronic music, vocal improvisation, and sound poetry. Her projects often blur the line between voice and electronics, weaving together ancient influences and digital textures.
She is active both as a solo artist and in collaborations such as Ma’iwa (with A i w A, selected by SHAPE Platform in 2020), the avant-garde noise group Csicskakoporsó, and Boax with Orsolya Kaincz. Her releases include works on labels like ZABRA and PrePost Records.
Beyond performance, she co-runs the AZVLM collective and curates events, while also hosting podcasts on Lahmacun Radio that explore music, culture, and community.
