Thought Industry

Formed: 1989 in Kalamazoo, Michigan USA.
Disbanded circa 2001/2.

Prior to 1989 the band was known as Desacrator, and released a demo entitled "111MZD" under that moniker in 1988.

Initially an avant-garde thrash metal / progressive rock hybrid, Thought Industry began stripping down their sound by the time of 1996's [r=870244]; moving into alternative and art rock by the time they recorded their fourth album [r=870253] in 1997. They remained active as of 2001 but disbanded shortly after the release of the album [r=870283].

Vocalist, bass guitarist and chief songwriter Brent Oberlin was last involved with the band Cosmonaut (5) as of 2002.
