Yunam

Yunam is a Montreal based electronic music producer with a background in experimental, band and improvised music. As a passionate fan of DIY, he uses his free time to build analog synthesizers which he likes to integrate into his musical creations. His project combines modular synthesizers and Casios / toy keyboards from the 80s-90s, in order to recreate that musical freedom which is unique to improvisation, where meticulously created sounds and cheesy flavors of the past come together. From these improvisations, he composes musical soudscapes that combine the intensity of techno with emotional chord progressions, resulting in a sonic environment that evokes melancholy and science fiction. This can sometimes give to the listener the impression of being alone in space…
