Bargain Music

Bargain Music was an eclectic Long Beach, California-based alternative rock band active from 1997 to 2006, centered on vocalist/songwriter Josh Fischel. Known for a genre-bending sound blending rock, ska, reggae, funk, and punk, they were a staple of the Southern California music scene. In late 2006 Bargain Music announced after eight years of recording music and touring together they were calling it quits. In a post on the band’s MySpace page, Josh Fischel explained they would play shows for a few more months and then end it with a bang with a run of shows in Southern California.
In March 2007 Bargain Music went to Roanoke, Virginia to play two nights at Awful Arthur’s. Available for download here is the second night — the last show Bargain Music played on the East Coast.
Lineup was - Josh Fischel (Vocals, Melodica, Acoustic), Aaron Jones (Guitars, Vocals), Matt Brien (Bass, Vocals), Todd Elrod (Drums, Beatbox)
