UK-based company for the business interests of Sir Paul McCartney, legally operating under this name since 5 January 1976. Directly wholly-owned by Sir Paul McCartney until 9 January 2026 when legal ownership was transferred to 'MPL Holdings Limited', registered in Jersey. Sir Paul McCartney is the ultimate legal and beneficial owner of the new holding company registered on 15 December 2025.

'MPL' stands for label 275942 (now a separate company), the name in which the company was previously incorporated as on 4 September 1969. MPL Communications Ltd. is based in both London, UK (MPL Communications Ltd.) and New York City, USA (label 266045)

Another subsidiary music licensing company, label 589440, also exists. It deals with Paul McCartney's later work, but is also one of the world's largest privately owned music publishers (through its acquisition of numerous other publishing companies), including the entire Buddy Holly catalogue and musicals such as Guys & Dolls and Grease.
