Sweet Wreath

Sweet Wreath is a community art project. The label acts as a connecting thread woven through the experimental music, dance and art scenes of Birmingham, Alabama and out to other scenes across the country. We document and release music that is hard to classify, including improvised compositions, spoken word, sound collage and sonic explorations crafted from unique artistic perspectives. We think it's way more exciting to be a catalyst for making things happen locally, rather than operating as a traditional record label churning out product. Our projects facilitate new ideas and collaborations, ranging from music releases to publishing zines and poetry to supporting community mutual aid efforts.
