Origin Records was founded by Seattle drummer/graphic designer John Bishop (https://www.discogs.com/artist/2313921-John-Bishop-3) in 1997. With the assistance of drummer/web designer Matt Jorgensen (https://www.discogs.com/artist/1290011-Matt-Jorgensen), they expanded to include OA2 Records and Origin Classical. Releasing over 850 projects covering the breadth of the genre, their 400 international artists are each vital members of the artistic communities where they live.
