Petit Label

French independant label, member of the association Les Allumés Du Jazz. Its catalog is dealt in 4 Series, which you can check by pointing the mouse on the catalog menu of their web page. Those are defined by colours associated to musical styles.
PL Kraft / kraft: modern & contemporary jazz --> label 689135
PL Blanc / white: text & poetry --> label 689141
PL Son / blue: research on new sound textures, within either acoustic or electronic instrumentation --> label 689144
PL Free / red: free jazz and apparented. --> label 689139
PL Bruits / green: noise, experimental & field recordings --> label 1406991

The label's releases are hand made and usually limited, hand-numbered editions (most often 100 copies and specified on back cover).
"H.C." is sometimes written on back sleeve and seams "Hors Commerce" (like "Not for Sale"). These copies have defects, often printing but sometimes also in terms of sound pressing. They are not meant to be sold and are primarily used for promotion.

When you upload a new release from this label, please take good care of the following:
1. The catalog number is to be found on spine and has the following form: PL??, PL ?? or simply the number of the release in the catalog (eg : 050 instead of PL 050)
2. The Series number is to be found on the label's web site and simply consists of inserting the Series type (Kraft / Blanc / Son / Free) between PL and the number. The series number is sometimes used as the main catalog number of the release.
